Currently Average Combat Score is based on four things:
- Damage: +1 ACS / 1 dmg dealt
- Kills (based on enemies alive): +150 / 130 / 110 / 90 / 70
- Multikills: +50 per additional kill
- Non-damaging assists (ie. blinded enemy dies) : +25 each
I noticed that 2. (awarding based on kills) seems to be not completely balanced. Sure, getting the first kill in a round is very impactful, but clutching a 1v1 at the end of a round is also very important, but the first scenario awards +150 ACS but the second scenario awards only +70 ACS. Additionally, one would argue that getting a single kill in a 1v5 is not very impactful, but it still awards that player +150 ACS.
Instead, the amount of ACS awarded upon killing an enemy could be based on the difference in enemies vs teammates alive. We would still keep the 5 tiers of different amounts rewarded (+150 / 130 / 110 / 90 / 70) , but award each with the following tiers:
- +150 when the player numbers are even (getting a kill in a 5v5, 4v4, 3v3, etc.)
- +130 when the player numbers have a difference of 1 (getting a kill in a 5v4, 3v4, 3v2, etc.)
- +110 when the player numbers have a difference of 2 (getting a kill in a 5v3, 3v5, 3v1, etc.)
- +90 when the player numbers have a difference of 3 (getting a kill in a 5v2, 2v5, 4v1, etc.)
- +70 when the player numbers have a difference of 4 (getting a kill in a 5v1 or 1v5)
IMO this would better reward ACS to impact kills that could sway the momentum of a round where the player numbers are still even, but getting one kill in a 1v5 would be awarded the least amount of ACS. Had this on my mind ever since I saw how they were currently being calculated, what do yall think?
