this isn’t exactly something that’s life changing or revolutionary, but i thought i’d just share it because it was sorta unusual
so earlier today i queued into a comp. we got ascent which i was fine with. usually on ascent, i play cypher, raze, reyna or omen. we had two people who insta locked duelists (reyna and jett) so i picked cypher. i assumed that someone would pick a character with long range smokes, because they are pretty popular on this map. instead they picked killjoy and sage. later in the game, we were 6-2. my teammates were sorta average, they would make suggestions and talk about what we could do better but there wasn’t anything toxic yet. when it was 8-3, two people died in mid, and i apologized for not waiting to see who i should’ve picked, because i wasn’t getting much intel as cypher, and taking control of mid is key on ascent. my teammate (this is our sage) told me to stop being negative, because it was making me worse. at first i thought this was just him telling me to be more positive, but when we switched to attackers, i died to a jett who updrafted through the windows on b site. i said it was my bad for rushing so early, and he told me to “actually fucking stop”. i apologized and we won a few rounds. it was about 10-6, and i died to an op in mid, and said it was my bad. the dude then pounded his desk and told me that we were losing because i was making myself feel worse
but we won in overtime, 16-14, lol
