[AIM THEORY] Why precise micro tracking is FAR BETTER than static for intermediate-advanced+ val players

Valorant is a micro-correct dependant game aim-wise, which means that most of the time when you are aiming in valorant, it is going to be making small adjustments to targets.

Many players interpret this in a way which deludes them into thinking that having good static clicking is what matters most in valorant. Unfortunately, this view is bound to result in disappointment.

My peak in 1w6ts v2 is 173 shots hit, 1630 in the original 1w6ts, hit rank 1 on 5 cm and 7 cm sens on 1w6ts etc.

All this experience in static has not translated very well into valorant. Although i was able to peak d3 in the game, most of this is progress is thanks to my gamesense rather than aim, as most of my games i was middle fragging as smokes/sentinel.

The reason why my static clicking experience haven't helped me much in valorant was unclear to me until that of recent, and that is because of the fact that my micro-correct prowess was only relative to my precision and speed, but not to my micro-correct frequency and reading.

In valorant, static will only really benefit you much if you are below 100 shots hit in 1w6ts, anything above this number is going to have a negligible impact in game unless you are playing in silver or below level lobbies.

This is because players in valorant above the silver level counter strafe rather frequently in duels, causing your static clicking experience to be undermined by the new requirement of micro-correct frequency and reading skills.

In static clicking, usually only one micro-correction is required to land a hit on target. Although it is possible to not need any micro-corrections, that would require god level aim with god level consistency which 99% of players do not have and don't really need to reach radiant+ level aim anyways.

Due to the low frequency of micro-corrections needed in static, this makes static mostly based on initial flick accuracy and speed, since micro-corrections are not needed to stay on target, they are only needed once to initially place the crosshair on target.

This does not accurately reflect how most duels in plat+ level are taken. Most duels in plat+ usually involve a good amount of movement from both sides requiring frequent micro-corrections and good reading ability to be able to tell whether the crosshair is actually on target on the time of firing as well as keeping the crosshair updated on the target in case the initial bullet whiffs. Due to the way of how weapon inaccuracy/spread works in this game, there is a good chance for your first bullet to whiff even if your crosshair is on targets in 30+ meter duels, so being able to keep the crosshair on target while they are counter strafing is a crucial skill to have.

Static simply does not teach you this crucial skill, and therefore it is usually undermined by the amount of reading and high micro-correct frequency needed in order to land a shot on target.

These have been my observations so far as concordant with my own personal experience, and i may be wrong, however, ever since i took a break from static for precise micro tracking (Like air angelic 4 extra small) I have instantly observed improvements in game aim-wise.
