All of the talk about Escalation being gone, and Deathmatch needing fixing, says one thing.

Why isn't there a smaller version of Unrated? The formula is already there. It could be similar to the Retake mode from CS:GO, or simply 7 rounds instead of 13. I don't mind. The only real hurdle is ensuring that Economy gains scale with the smaller round count, but that's about it!

The issue is, as someone unlucky enough to be an adult now, I have to fit games in around my day to day life. Warming up in Deathmatch is good for my aim, but bad for my game sense. Warming up in Spike Rush is good for neither, in my opinion.

Unrated is the next best thing, but they can last an easy 30 or 40 minutes, which seriously eats into most people's overall game time.

Thing is, Escalation gave you the chance to simulate 1v2/3/4/5 scenarios, and it gave you random weapons to do it with. But it was also quick, only 5-10 minutes per game. This meant I could get in the zone so quick in comparison to anything else.

The actual Escalation mode itself? I'm not bothered that it's gone, but the opportunity is what I'm gonna miss moving forward. I know Riot are probably worried about splitting up queues too much, but the casual game desperately needs a shorter (but comparable) alternate to Unrated.

Anyway, that's about it tbh.
