What’s known as ‘The Pygmalion Effect’ is the psychological occurrence where one’s high expectations lead to higher performance.

If you have a ‘good’ player on your team and you and everyone else constantly hype them up, they get confident in themselves and consistently perform better, which leads you into continuing believing that they are cracked, which cycles back to them getting confident in themselves, and so on so forth (if that even made sense lmfao)

Same goes for the bottom frag of the team, you constantly sh!t on them, they start thinking less of themselves, they get demotivated, their play is fueled by anger, spite, and sadness which will undoubtedly make them play worse, which continues to make you think they are bad, which continues the line of insults and makes them play consistently worse.
