i recently started playing again shooter after having a break for like 8 years, now im 28 years old and play Valorant and im enjoying it even tho im bad at the game lol

well i had a lot of people calling me out for being too old and that i sound like 40 when i speak but not only that i also noticed how young the playerbase is.. i actually never met someone who was close to my age, most people i met were like between 12 and maximum 20

and im genuinely asking myself if im really just too young and my time has come to start playing other games lol

am i just overreacting to this situation? ( sorry for my bad english grammar not my main language)
