[AN ACTUAL FIX] After patch 2.05 VALORANT doesn't open

Hi guys!

So after patch 2.05 my game stopped launching. I opened the game and nothing happened. On the task manager, Valorant and Riot Client processes were <5% all the time but I noticed there was a Windows Error Reporting process everytime I opened the game.

mine is in portugues but it says \"Windows Error Report\"

After 4 days of talking to the Valorant support I started to dig a little deeper.

I didn't have FACE IT installed.I installed MalwareBytes, it caught a few things, didn't fix it.I ran a chkdsk, got nothing.I had all my Windows and graphics card updates and VALORANT still didn't launch.

After I launch VALORANT, I found out that that "Windows Error Reporting" was actually from a process called "werfault.exe", so I thought I could see if it had some log files to check what the problem was. I closed the "VALORANT" and "Riot Client" processes and, it turns out that you can see these logs in the Windows Event Viewer. (win+r, type "eventvwr")

again, sorry for being in portuguese.

So I opened it up, clicked on the "error" dropdown, "application error" and there it was! It was the MOTHERFUCKIN "SIZER" SOFTWARE. (or its use of a hook64.dll that VALORANT didn't like)

still portuguese, didn't change country yet, sorry

The thing is: you might not have "Sizer" on your computer, but something is fucking up your PC from launching the game and this is the way to find it.

In my case it was the hook64.dll, maybe for you it's something else. Maybe this .dll was being used by Sizer and VALORANT doesn't like to share .dll's (???) idk

I hope this helps some people that can't play after the 2.05 update. I've seen too many posts of people that just stopped playing because of this.

TL:DR - Open VALORANT, go to task manager and close "VALORANT" and "Riot Client". Win+R, type "eventvwr". Go to "Error" > "Application Error". Check the first one where it says "faulty module path" or some shit like that. Uninstall the software that's causing the problem.
