Seems like Omen/Jett are the crowd favorites now for smoke usage.
Omen has perma smokes throughout the whole game, Jett is better for burst plays and to top it off; Omen has a huge radius on his flash.
Possible changes (For Brim)
- Smoke deals damage if it directly hits someone (easily added, even sage slow makes noise when people step on it)
- Indicators for players inside smoke (cough?)
- Direct buffs (time increase) or go above and beyond; if Brim clicks the same smoke it is upgraded to a larger radius / longer duration smoke.
Possible changes not related to smoke usage (For Brim)
- Teach Brim how to not stomp so loud
- Stim beacon makes gunfire noises and footsteps (kind of like decoy grenade)
- Ultimate rework, directional ultimate since so many agents can easily dodge it
- Incendiary changes (maybe multiple incendiaries, lower cost)
- Stim beacon adds movement speed
Possible changes to synergize with other agents
- Sova recon dart reveals enemies through/inside ALLY brim smokes
- Stim beacon + Killjoy sentry
- Paintball + Incendiary (spreads fire or increases damage/both)
- Stim beacom + Raze hop increases her range
Possible changes to counter other agents (While attacking)
- Smoke disables all tools, think Metal Gear Solid Chaff grenades (would shut down killjoy/Cypher dominated maps and strategies)
- Stim beacon blocks flashes (all of them, even reyna, even Omen)
- Players on Stim beacon cannot be stunned by Killjoy/Breach
Possible nerfs to other Agents (Jett and Omen are the two biggest offenders here)
- It's crazy how far Omen can throw his smoke, compared to Brim with his.. tablet and radar controlled ultimate lol.
- Jett smoke should be her free ability, not the dash on top of kill resets (huge change to AWPER Jett playstyle)
- Omen smoke recharge increased
- Omen blind duration reduced (again it's a super lazy ability that hits entire sections of the map
Biggest overall issue I would say with Brim, is that he is so weak on attack. While other agents are good on both sides; even Cypher camera is easily used on the attack.
Brim smokes are neat, but they are easy to play around - like hiding inside of them or using another ability to delay Brim attack attempts.
Could say the same thing about Viper, one of the reasons she isn't great is because again; her kit is terrible on attacker side.
Killjoy one of the best defense agents, is still amazing on attack and retakes etc and outright beats Brimstone in the "defend the bomb" situations.
Maybe it's time Brim/Viper/Sage get even better tools for controlling the map; but right now everyone is cheesing picks by using Jett/Omen, just because they both can reliably get kills (Jett eco ults, Omen lazy AOE blind for kills and set ups).
Off the wall, you're crazy changes
- Brimstones first "free" smoke is permanent
- Viper poison meter removed, keep all of her abilities active throughout the round.
- Sage heal revert, now can only heal what she touches.
Anybody else ready for Agent diversity in tournaments?
