[NA] i'm a new player (also fresh to fps) interested in having a coach/mentor (18+) to help me improve as fast as possible, preferably by playing with me or watching live. or even just a nice group of people who would be willing to play with me and provide tips/help me develop game sense
i've only been playing for 2 weeks and have no previous fps experience, so i understand if that's like too new for coaching to be of use or something like that. i haven't played comp yet because i don't think i have the fundamentals. i've been watching videos from skillcapped, woohoojin, and jollz and am practicing aim every day in the range and death matches (according to woohoojin's gold in a month vid).
i'm able to dedicate time every night and weekend (EST) to playing and my goal is to be able to reach at least gold in my first few months or year. not sure if that's too high of a goal, but anything lower feels embarrassing as someone who was diamond in league of legends (i know there are basically no transferrable skills there but it's a matter of pride lmao).
i would really like some consistent guidance while i learn the game since i don't have friends who can teach me. there are some nice people from galorants i've been playing with so i don't have to play solo, but they're not exactly teaching me the game. i kinda just follow whatever they're doing and try not to be a complete deadweight. it's kinda a lot to ask them to teach me while also playing, so i'm looking for someone or a group specifically willing to teach me. if not now, then maybe in the future if i find myself stuck in iron 😅 thanks for your time!
