This may have been talked about already, but what made the ranks so much sweatier? I was D2/D3 before the big update a couple of months and I can barely get out of Gold ranked gameplay. I am seeing a lot of Act Ranks that were Diamond and even Immortal, but are now Gold/Plat. What made people's rank decline this much? Is it the constant nerfs to characters/ new characters changing the way people play? I can't think of anything major enough, like what I mentioned, to create such a change. Maybe who the rank structure of who you can play with now?

Edit: I now know that Plat 3 is the ceiling for placement matches, which is why I there is a rank disparity during placements. If someone is Plat 3 during placement, then they probably deserve Imm or Radiant because they have already hit that ceiling while playing against other high ranked (placement) players. I just got Gold 2 and so, I guess the grind continues. I don’t feel as bad knowing that it wasn’t (I am getting 20-40 kill games) just me being bad or something.
