I don’t want to be accused of sucking up to this subreddit or anything so i want to preface this by saying I’m relatively new, when it comes to most people.
There is undoubtably quiet a lot of negativity in this game (as there is with anything competitive) but in my roughly week of in game time i have found that good teammates and helpful teammates HEAVILY outweigh toxic teammates (maybe it’s my skill level, I’m not ranked because i mostly play unranked with friends i found from playing)
I’m so thankful for the handful of friends i have already met in the game and play with on a semi regular basis. I still really like to win and am still super competitive but i don’t let my want to win drive me to tear down others (because honestly, it’s never anybody else’s fault but your own in almost every situation you’re mad in video games). Instead, i try to examine how i can get better if i die early round or die stupidly, and help communicate to my teammates where enemies are.
I see a lot of negativity in this subreddit so i just wanted to highlight how great i think the community is
Edit: i did want to add that i really enjoy solo queuing also, as most people i meet are good at calling out and being nice!
