I recently started easily getting my weekly missions done very quickly. After all of my missions were done I didn't know which mode gave the most experience for time. Well look no further because I have done the task of finding out the answer. It's spike rush.
Ok here's my data for unrated
1.Exp 1,300 time 21:25
2.Exp 4,600 time 42.36
3.Exp 4,500 time 31:19
4.Exp 1,300 time 8:01
5.Exp 3,100 time 28:16
6.Exp 4,300 time 37:42
7.Exp 3,700 time 36:42
8.Exp 4,800 time 34:42
9.Exp 4,320 time 37:26
10.Exp 3,700 time 38:39
11.Exp 4,600 time 33:33
Averaging this out we get about 37:45 with 3,656 exp per game
Now my data for spike rush
1.Exp 1,000 time 7:08
2.Exp 1,000 time 6:31
3.Exp 1,000 time 4:12
4.Exp 1,000 time 7:18
5.Exp 1,000 time 10:03
6.Exp 1,000 time 7:37
7.Exp 1,000 time 9:10
8.Exp 1,000 time 6:24
9.Exp 1,000 time 5:19
10.Exp 1,000 time 8:33
This averages out to about 7:36 for 1,000 exp (experience is the same no matter what)
I divided unrated by spike rush to find out that in the time it would take to do an average match of unrated you would have gained 4,967 exp in comparison to the 3,656 exp
Keep in mind however that this isn't including queue wait time for finding a match and selecting agents which could impact this severely. Please feel free to check my math to and please comment if any of this is wrong
What about deathmatch and escalation/replication/snowball fight?
Don't worry those are in fact the worst game modes to choose as deathmatch will ALWAYS reward 900 exp which is 100 less than spike rush and had similar game times. Escalation however gives 800 but DOES reward a bonus 200 exp for winning. Since it has a similar time period you might as well do spike rush since at least you consistently get 1000 exp. I was unable to see if this is the same for replication or snowball fight but I can assume it is the same.
Once again please feel free to correct any mistakes I made and it's possible that just maybe if you consistently win matches thay unrated COULD be the better option for exp.
I hope you all found this useful. I'm assuming no one else has hard data on this as of now so here you guys go.
Also forgot to say this but I DID NOT check exp gains for competitive play I'm assuming it has similar exp to unrated if it's different feel free to use my data to post how comp stacks up.
