Can you be 'ready' for comp?

Edit 2: your comments gave me hella motivation to play comp and I did play comp, got Bronze 1. It SUCKED SO MUCH I can't express, because it was SUPER stressful. All 5 games I was bottomfragging, BUT most importantly, all the aiming skills I have went down the drain and I was spraying Vandal / Phantom like it's my first game ever. So bottom line is, I will play more comp, and maybe my skills will adapt to this nightmare. Thanks again for all the advice and nice words you wrote me, I really appreciate it < 3

I play Valorant for two months now, daily, because I have no life and I'm ok with that. This is the first FPS multiplayer I ever played, so I'm basically learning everything, including aim improvement, peeking, strategies, and other things. Compared to the first month, I'm getting better at peeking, pointing at the head and shooting, but I still have anxiety when playing tho, working on this too.

BUT I never played competitive, and I lowkey want to, but I don't feel like I'm skilled enough for this. I know "there might be players that are not as skilled as you are", but I'm a gal, and I plan to use comms, so I might get harassed. And if so, I at least want to play decently and minimize the number of stoopid mistakes, and maybe even not bottom frag (like I often do).

My question is, can you elaborate on how you started to play comp? Just, what was the last thought before you queued up the first time? Did you think that you were mentally ready, or you just didn't care, or a mysterious third thing?

Edit 1: wrong word usage :\
