This is something you’ll either see in iron or pro play, never in between. It does confuse me though, it seems like such a bold play with such minimal, if any benefits. Depending on where his team is he could be open from garage push, A flank window, C flank grass, he could be contested mid, op’d from top site B, etc, just so many variables and high risk for what? An additional 3 meters of the ult? Maybe my hardstuck immortal brain is too small, but is this a good Phoenix ult?

An underutilized and often overlooked tip.
If you are having a bad game and your whole team can't buy full armor and rifles that round, make sure your top fragger/best player has the rifle and you take the smg/shotgun.
Make it a priority to have them fully equipped. Getting carried...
