As the title says, I know it’s not uncommon for smurfs to be created, especially in F2P but I think it’s a serious problem in Ranked.

I play this game casually and thought the best way for me to play would just be to play Ranked with the idea i’d end up with people at a similar skill level and give me a chance to test myself more consistently. I placed Silver and I swear that Silver is just smurf city. I’m gonna say roughly 80% of my games clearly have smurfs that are one tapping people within a second of appearing in their sight or just sprinting through the team like a one-man army. I don’t care if they’re on my team, it’s demoralising as it’s really hard to improve when you’re in these lobbies.

People don’t care either as they often like to trash talk their team saying they’re bad... due to this trash talker being on a smurf that is actually plat/diamond and is often carrying their friend up the ranks or can’t handle their own matchmaking.

Lastly it really doesn’t help that streamers openly create smurfs to play ranked with lower skilled friends or just to do these “iron to immortal” videos. They may only be a small portion of the community but it’s encouraging people to do the same.

Yes this post will come across as complaining, no I am not the best player but I have my moments but the amount of smurfs and unbalanced teams I encounter really hinders my drive to play the game and I do love the game.

I know some people will tell me to just play Unrated but that’s not addressing the issue as Ranked just gives that better sense of accomplishment and improving.

Just thought I’d make this post to see what other people think, I’m not stupid, I know it’s likely nothing will happen but I’m hoping it’s not just me that feels this way.
