After several matches of either no comms, swamped comms, bad comms, or just someones mixtape I feel the need to present some do's and don'ts for ranked comms.
Be concise in your communication you shouldn't need a story to say where someone is, this is a good example: "vents sage 140" this is a bad example: "he's over there in that corner by the boxes" what in god's name is someone supposed to do with that? Unless you got some weirdo on your team who's heard that call before I don't know where they are!
Do not swamp comms by saying "flanking, flanking, flanking, flanking, flanking......." All your doing is taking over comms and ensuring that other important information isn't being heard.
Your frustration comes after the round ends and after you've made your calls, do not start your comms with "that's such bullshit fucking raze, oh btw she's elbow, oh sorry your dead." Valorant can be frustrating I get it but don't make it worse by frustrating your team with bad comms.
This isn't pro-league if your not in a stack communicate what you are doing, what you want to do Do not leave your team in the dark that your about to blast pack your way into site, let us know where your ulting, let us know where your mollies are going.
If you don't have a mic and btw you should then use your pings, I'll take pings over silence any day.
For the love of god recognize when to speak and when to be quiet If someone is in a clutch situation every sound matters. Now obviously there's exceptions but use common sense telling someone to plant, plant, plant isn't doing much.
And finally please be kind Constructive criticism is absolutely necessary to improve and I wholly disagree with people who say to not criticize someone after a round or tell them what they should've done. But be kind about it, "Sova you had your ult you should've played off the sound" vs "Why are you throwing, that was stupid."
ps: I don't want to hear your new spotify playlist buddyboi, no matter how good it actually was, but if you see this please share it.
