I'm struggling with insane inconsistency. On good days or just matches, I'll be dropping 20-30 kills with a crazy headshot percentage. Other times I'll be at the bottom with 10 or lower kills. The problem is that my inconsistency is consistent; and I probably pop off about 20% of my games. These games aren't even difficult; with most being around or just slightly above my skill level.
I like to think that my crosshair placement isn't the problem; which I can justify with my 29%HS this act in comp and 33% in unrated. However I'm struggling to win one-on-one duels. Personally my game sense isn't the issue, and I can say this confidently because I usually know where my enemies are. My comms aren't the issue, I comm as much as I know and nothing else. The things I find hard are on positioning and winning duels. I've tried learning counterstrafing, and my movement is improving. However, I'm also wasting about 10 bullets to a kill, since I usually only aim for the head. I unbinded crouch for a month (I physically can't crouch anymore, I lost the muscle memory for it) and this was huge in HS. The problem is that I can no longer win such duels that I was winning with crouching like a demon.
If possible can someone link me a few guides on positioning and micro-tracking? Or better yet, can a high elo player queue and unranked game with me and analyze what I'm doing wrong? (My PC is nowhere good enough to provide even 30fps of decent screensharing, but I do play on a steady 50-60 fps. Sometimes it dips though.) I'm also unable to provide a VOD, which is inconvenient. I'm on 1600 DPI, with 0.46x sens. I'm planning on going down to 0.4, maybe just a little lower.
