Hello all!
After seeing this Reddit post, I was inspired to not just make the static skin but an animating one! I wanted to also practice my UE4 skills so this worked out perfectly.
This first one is how it would animate in idle
I envision the waves dip when the mag is released and coming back when the next mag is inserted
Here is the shader material. I learned a lot, but I still need to learn how to optimize.
Although the skin kind of looks CSGO-ish with the lighting, I'm still happy with the results! Please let me know if you all have any questions or critiques!
