I really thought the lurking Reyna meme was in the past, but I still encounter people who think they're genuinely contributing to the team by lurking every round. Reyna's kit is meant for taking aggressive fights and having the dismiss to return to a passive angle, apart from eco's most lurk kills are empty and don't impact the game unless you take a giant chunk of their team out.
I've encountered too many massive ego Reyna players who have no self awareness that their 2 kills at the end of the round against enemy's with their backs towards them, while the rest of the team fought and took site and pushed the enemy back, are not what's winning us the game.
and before I get these comments, No Reyna is not an optimal duelist to entry, but playing aggressive off your teammates to maximize her utility and at least get partial kills makes her so much more useful.
If your game is a complete mismatch and none of your teammates play with you or trade you out, go ahead and lurk to try and get some sneaky frags, but it so many situations it just harms your team.
*Edit - No this post is not saying lurking is poor strategy and that nobody should lurk in any circumstance, My point is too many players get sucked into over-lurking too the point of providing very little impact for the team, with Reyna's already selfish kit this playstyle makes her practically useless to her team. No the immortal Reyna's is probably not the issue in these cases as im sure they have enough timing to coordinate a lurk effectively, but a large portion of the Valorant player base play Reyna's role so terribly and then complain because they have more kills from constantly lurking.
