I was excited for a nice warm up mode to be included in Valorant, but honestly I can do without this one.
It's bad even on warm up levels. If you want absolutely terrible spawns, that's fine but then don't put a timer on spawns with a loud spawn noise, just spawn immediately like CSGO community deathmatch servers. If you're going to keep the timer on the spawns, then have a better spawning system. There are so many obvious spawn points that it takes only a couple of minutes to figure them out and then people start camping them. Heck, even reducing the amount of players by 1 would work wonders.
Then there's the terrible habit of spawning people behind you. It's obvious when it happens too. Like long B on Icebox. The moment I spawn there, I know by the time I'm at cubby that someone is going to spawn behind me and I can camp them because of the loud spawn noise. It happens without fail every single time and I'm going to camp them because the alternative is dying to them.
The spawns are worse than the CSGO official DM servers and I thought that wasn't possible. There are countless times spawns have happened in the middle of a gunfight, or at the same time as another player in the same place while you're looking at them. It's not good.
The domino effect kicks in to gear sometimes too where you just get terrible spawns right after each other. You can't warm up if you keep dying within seconds of a spawn because someone spawned a split second before you, right behind you.
At the end of the day, it is just a deathmatch mode that's made for practice, but a little bit of effort would have been nice in assuring it's actually a good way to warm up. As of right now, it's not good but it's also the only real way to warm up.
