I feel like this is reiterated a ton in this community but there's a really shrimple way to get better at this game and situationally. Having a good mental and good teammates is really crucial to this, and being open and flexible when people do the randomest tactics is really eye opening. I was recently in a game where someone opened up with a joke, and asked everyone for a skin, which I thought was kind of funny, and he kept hyping up everyone and cracking jokes. This was huge to our team morale, and we were noticeably playing better in the latter half because of it. I noticed that my hands felt warmer and my mind just felt so much clearer; like I could read the opponent so easily. Winning duels was followed by small praises and the whole team was filled with everyone laughing and pulling off the craziest plays.
That's why the best method to improve is to keep playing and surround yourself with people you know that will hype you up and have strong mental game. Never stay stagnant (unless you ace literally every round) and always try out crazy tactics that just have the smallest bit chance of working. When you have a clear mind, you can easily identify who plays where, what utility do you need to take care of, and who is situationally the best for that specific duel.
Also I lowkey support smurfing in unrated, because that gives players a chance to firsthandedly witness what good habits to take, and they can also receive advice from the high elo player, just like I did. While that might result in a bad game for the opposing team, smurfs are just one person in the end; if they think of something to counter, then they'll be able to grow strategically and also gain confidence after beating the high elo player. If both teams have the right mental, they can come out of the game with an exceptional amount of knowledge that they didn't have before.
I also kind of want to hear about your views on unrated smurfing after hearing mine ^^
