Whether it is through voice chat or text chat, negative comments towards your teammates regardless of how well they are playing will make them play worse. Knowingly doing this is intentionally sabotaging and should be punished much more harshly.

It does not matter if you have a teammate who is 2-8, they are obviously having a hard game and are probably already tilting in their own head, being toxic towards them achieves nothing and will inevitably make them play worse, or mute you and lose callouts. Everyone has their bad games and being understanding of this is key to helping them perform better later in the game.

There should be a much more severe punishment for those who intentionally ruin the games of not only the person playing bad, but those who just want to have a fair and fun game.

Edit: For those of you mindlessly commenting “just mute” as the post already mentioned, muting someone takes away communication which is vital to success in a game like valorant. Hearing callouts can make the difference between a win and a loss.
