Valorant players are known for their attention to detail, especially when it comes to map design. Recently, a post by u/GlassHalfFullPerson on Reddit brought up an issue on the map Pearl that has been on players' minds.
The Issue At Hand
According to the post, there is a box on Pearl that is causing some issues for players. Specifically, this box is interfering with the player's ability to perform pop flashes from a specific position on the map. The poster reported getting their bird stuck on the box several times, leading to frustration and lost opportunities.
Community Response
The post quickly gained traction, with fellow players chiming in with their own experiences and suggesting solutions. One user, GarethwithanH, offered to see what they could do about fixing the issue. Another user, PapstJL4U, suggested that the box's surface should have depth, but the collision should be smooth. However, not everyone agreed on what the ideal solution would be. User SuitableVoid admitted that the idea of giving the box depth was confusing to them.
Why This Matters
At first glance, the issue with the box on Pearl may seem like a minor inconvenience. However, for players who rely on pop flashes to gain a tactical advantage in the game, this issue has real consequences. Pop flashes rely on precise timing, and any obstruction in their path could lead to missed opportunities. Additionally, Valorant is a game that requires players to have a deep understanding of the maps they play on. Any element that interferes with that understanding can have a negative impact on the game's overall experience.
What Can Be Done
While the community response to the issue with the box on Pearl was mixed, players and developers alike must take the issue seriously. Players have invested time, effort, and money into the game, and they deserve to have a seamless and enjoyable experience. Developers could consider removing the box altogether, repositioning it so that it does not interfere with pop flashes, or creating a smoother collision on the box's surface. Ultimately, the best solution will depend on a variety of factors, including player feedback, development resources, and the game's overall balance and design.
Valorant is still a relatively new game, and issues like the box on Pearl are to be expected. However, it's heartening to see the community take such an active role in bringing attention to these issues and working towards solutions. Whether or not the box on Pearl is ever fixed, it's clear that the Valorant community is passionate about the game and invested in making it the best it can be.

I think they should consider buffing Cypher's ult - like having more than just one ping/reveal.
