Four reasons riot needs to rethink the brimstone nerf.

Yea, I used this to respond to another commenter but I’m posting it here in hopes more people see it, feel free to correct any of it if it’s wrong info btw.

Also, I just posted the other day asking for a well-deserved BUFF and it got 4K upvotes, now he gets nerfed. Sad.

  1. It was a fun, unique, and useful ability which put more emphasis on team play in lower ranks especially.

  2. While I said it’s not a deciding factor in the game, it nevertheless made brimstone stronger and more unique, as he now had something relatively powerful that only he has, something where if you don’t have brim, you don’t have stims. (This can be applied to so many agents with strong but not broken abilities. If you don’t have Jett/Chamber, you don’t have an effective op player. If you don’t have Omen/Yoru [mostly yoru], you don’t have that level of unpredictability/map presence.) and even though it wasn’t game changing, it inevitably made him a weaker pick, which he didn’t need.

  3. Since when does riot nerf TWO WEEKS after a buff? Brim didn’t turn into a god tier agent, he was just better, perhaps better than most controllers, but only because they nerfed the others to hell too. Astra had months of being the best controller, Omen was solid for months, Viper held her buff for months. Jett has basically never been nerfed, Chamber has 2 of the best abilities (in its class ofc) in the game (instant TP, best alarmbot/trip), which makes Cypher and killjoy pretty underwhelming. Yet brim gets 2 weeks? Of being kinda good? Cmon.

  4. Riot also made a horrible “excuse” for the nerf. That it needs to be used more situationally, or with more thought behind it, or whatever they said. The same way sova has to use his recon “situationally”? Oh he doesn’t, he can just launch it up Willy nilly and hope it hits if he wanted to, considering it regenerates. Sages heals regenerate. Neon can use her sprint whenever bc it regenerates over time. Jett dash and chamber TP are two of the strongest abilities in the game and both can be used more than once per round. Hell, chamber and neon get to rotate fast with no repercussion. It’s just a dumb nerf…
