So my friend just placed Platinum 2 after ending last act on Silver 3 (he doubled ranked from Silver 1 to Silver 3). I always thought the max rank you could place after a reset was two ranks above what you ended on (unless you are high elo where it is capped) but apparently I was wrong. I figured the theoretical max rank he could place was Gold 2 and then double rank to Plat 1. Has anyone seen this before?
