So I made a post on twitter that I would coach people because I was bored, and I started talking to this kid who was Silver 2. This kid easily had diamond/immortal level aim and he was hitting headshots on everybody and able to one tap heads with a sheriff while getting Ferrari peaked. He had 180 dmg per round and a very high HS percentage. His problem was that he was extremely toxic and self centered, constantly blaming his teammates (reporting them and talking shit every 5 seconds). He would die for no reason and say things like "while atleast I got my 2" when he could have played smarter and easily aced the round. He would complain that the game was lost when his team was literally winning by 4 or 5 rounds. He would also claim that people "run and gunned him" whenever he got killed as copium.
In addition to being very negative, he had completely iron game sense. His buys were always messed up, he would often peak way too close to corners or just have generally bad positioning. He would always call the enemy team "rats" when they would make better plays or he just didn't look at the map. He would also constantly pull out his knife for no reason. The kid really just couldn't take any advice because he was so full of himself constantly showing me clips every time I would try and give him some advice on how he could be better.
I think it's funny because if this kid knew how to play the right way he could EASILY be diamond or immortal with how good his aim was and I think it really goes to show how important game sense is in this game. Even if you have cracked aim you can still be silver if you do not have good decision making skills. I've played against immo/radiant players whos aim is above average but their game awareness is what allows them to be so good at earning kills, rounds, and wins. Basically my point is that, your aim can be insane but if your mental is shit you will not rank up.
