Hey!
Want to introduce you to an idea I had about a game mode.
(Example image below)
The concept is pretty straight forward: The maps are divided into segments. In each segment, two players spawn for a 1v1 duel, with a time limit of ~20 seconds. Randomly chosen, one player will have the objective to navigate to a special orb. If he manages to pick up that orb, or kill the enemy player, he wins the round. Shall he die or the timer expire, the other player wins the round. This is to emulate the attacking / defending dynamic of Valorant, and preventing that both player will just try to camp in one corner for the duration of the duel. In the example image I provided, the target orbs are the stars, colored for the specific player.
Once a duel found a conclusion, the players are automatically brought to their next duel. The win condition could be similar to DM - First to X amount of kills. or the match-timer runs out.
That way, you can focus on "fair" duels and train your peeking and corner-clearing skills, opposed to running around like headless chickens in DM, getting doinked from the back every other second.
What ya thinking? :)
