Gaming Wrist Pain

Hey everyone,

I've been dealing with this persistent wrist pain for the past 6 months in my left hand and 8 months in my right hand, and it all started one morning out of the blue. As a dedicated competitive Valorant player, this situation is causing me a great deal of anxiety. I'm scared that I won't be able to continue playing my favorite game for the usual 4 hours a day that I'm used to. It's really taking a toll on me.

I've sought help from multiple orthopedic surgeons, but unfortunately, none of them have been able to identify the root cause or provide me with a suitable treatment plan other than suggesting rest and avoiding activities that make the pain worse.

Any movement that involves flexing my wrist outward, using my thumb, typing, or manipulating the mouse triggers the pain. It's frustrating because the pain even persists when I'm at rest, happening almost daily. I've gone through MRI and X-ray scans, and the results have come back normal, leaving me at a loss as to what steps to take next.

I'm reaching out here, hoping to find someone who has gone through a similar experience and managed to find a solution. I'm desperate for advice and guidance. My orthopedic surgeon wants me to come back in another 3 months if the pain continues, but honestly, I don't know if I can endure living with this undiagnosed condition for that long. The fear of causing permanent damage to my hands is constantly on my mind, especially considering that I'm just 26 years old.

If anyone has any insights or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for any support you can offer. Keep gaming strong, everyone!
