Why do so many think they deserve a higher rank just because they killed a few high rank players playing casually in unrated/spike rush/replication/ DM etc ?

So many posts/comments about how they are doing well in the casual modes but are surprised when they can't replicate it in the only mode that matters where all 5 people play seriously usually at their level.
