Although I've played other shooters in the past (albeit I'm not very good at them either), Valorant is the first FPS that I honestly and actively want to put the effort into being better at.
I've been working hard to discover ways to get better, practicing my movement and aim, and aiming at head level, but it seems like this game is always working against me. It feels like you have to have your LUK stat maxed out to play this game well.
When I fire, I aim for the head; however, according to the server, 9 out of 10 times the rounds hit the chest instead of the head. My teammates are equally split between being the most stupid individuals who simply run in and die or just standing back and waiting till our time runs out before somehow dying to whoever is left on the site.
I'm becoming more and more annoyed by all of these things (and others) and am starting to have mini-meltdowns when playing games, which makes me wonder why I'm still playing this game. I am no longer enjoying playing this game.
I tried watching tutorials to try and get better, but nothing is helping. I'm at a loss for what to do now.
How do I combat this? Also, how do I genuinely improve? I don't have the luxury of time either, so I'd love to do something quick and easy that I can do when I can play.
Deathmatches don't help either, I either get the worst spawns and die 5 times before being able to counter and I play against people who are clearly out of my skill level (Immortals are increasingly common in my DMs).
Due to my poor stats, I'm too embarrassed to post my tracker here.
TLDR: How to improve in this game? Everything is working against me.
