I've been ranking up, and went from bronze1=>gold2 so far.
Gold is absolutely the worst rank range in my experience for toxicity. I feel like in bronze and silver, we knew we were not that great and we were all trying together. Once I hit gold, it feels like 80% of duelists just are going for high kill count, with zero team play, and then scream and berate their teammates for not topping the board like they are because they're buying on save rounds and getting surprise kills from lurks while the team is demolished on site.
Is this any better in plat? This is basically removing my fun from the game. I have to mute someone on my team every match basically, and we lose so often it's depressing because of screaming matches and poor coordination. I usually solo queue, but now I only ever want to play with my 5 stack which is infrequent.
How do you deal with the toxicity? Mute them and do your best? Report them? What keeps you powering through the ranks and getting better when the team elements appear to be degrading?
