Had my first come from behind victory and reminded myself that ff’ing would get me nowhere.

Been on this game for about 2 months now and have never experienced a drought like we had.

The map was Icebox, I played Omen, queued up with my cousin who ran Reyna, he never plays Reyna so we just wanted to see how it would work out. I don’t like Icebox to begin with, never do good on it. We defend first. Immediately we get stomped the first 3 rounds, make some adjustments, make it 3-2.

I hadn’t played my best at all this gaming session and it showed here, whiffing shots or only hitting bodies while I get headshotted. We go down 8-2.

At some point we bring it back up and we’re down 11-7. Round 19 is where I FINALLY turned it around, got a 4k and a clutch round victory. From round 19 on we didn’t lose a round. Quickly brought the game back to a tied up 11-11, haven’t died since Round 18.

The round we take the lead was a 3k on my end, where I was just behind the enemy the whole time and saw all 3 of my targets and they had no idea where I was. In my mind I was just so confident knowing we won that round. And we closed it home with my cousin grabbing a 3k in the final round.

The first time we had to deal with that. We don’t like to forfeit but we definitely consider it a lot and that almost happened in this game. Went from about a 9-13 KD to ending off with a 21 kill game. Which is very rare for me as I’m not a primary shooter on any team I play with.

It was fun to face that kind of adversity for the first time, although it was frustrating af at the same time. I’m really beginning to learn how to be more confident in this game. Super glad I recorded that game too, looking forward to watching back and learning.
