Neon’s ult has an interesting problem of being extremely powerful in low elo because of its “ease of use,” and people can’t track a fast moving target in lower elos. But it is also extremely underpowered in pro play because of its low damage per second. I think the best solution to this is to implement a scaling damage effect, where the longer your beam is locked on target, it quickly starts doing increasing amounts of damage, but as soon as you lose track of target, it resets. This solves both problems of it being too powerful in low elo by removing some of its “spray and pray” strengths, while also strengthening it in pro play by increasing its overall dps if kept on target. I can’t see any downside to this change, anyone have any thoughts on this?
