Hope for a Replay System

I have spent a lot of money on this game, but around 3 months ago I stopped due to a post I saw by u/ksobeit on this subreddit. To summarize, the post described frustration with the (at the time) recent dev post that explained that "there is no plan for a player-facing version of a replay system, as of now." The reddit post also suggests that those who would have the power to see a replay system added to the game care more about money than what the community wants.

A replay system would have many benefits, including seeing if players were obviously cheating in previous matches. It would also help players improve by seeing how they behaved from an opponents perspective, which can help solve strategic/mechanical problems that are hard to notice by reviewing personal screen recordings. (For example, a play was given away by some behavior or sounds made earlier in the round, and it is difficult to understand why it did not work.) I believe there are few arguments besides logistical ones on why a replay system has not been added to the game yet.

I do understand that a replay system is supposedly in the works (according to a tweet from a Riot dev following the backlash of said dev post). However, it does seem like this is a low priority for the dev team, which I feel like is unfair to those who have wanted a replay system since 2020 (due to a dev Q&A at the time which suggested a replay system was soon to be coming.)

I believe it would be fair to keep the players more updated on this issue, and I was wondering how others felt, and if they still feel like this is a pressing issue.
