I have two friends that I play Valorant with. One of those said friends and I know what the general sensitivity guidelines are and we are almost always top 2 fraggers in high Gold ELO, and we are making our way to Plat at a decent pace.
However, our other friend hasn't been able to play with us and have fun at the same time since we hit Gold 1. He has bottom-fragged in 60-70% of our games and is very much a liability.
His main issue is his aim. His sensitivity is CRAZY high. He uses 1600DPI and around 2 sensitivity in-game. He cant aim at heads, his crosshair jumps around all over the place whenever he enters the site or gets into a gunfight, and his aim is insanely shaky.
I have told him many times to try to lower his sensitivity. He has a decently large mousepad (He could easily use something like 0.4@800DPI), has a decent mouse with a 3988 sensor, but he just refuses to even try and give it a day or two.
I and my friend are very competitive, but we also care about our friend and don't want to hurt his feelings and ditch him. We are afraid of making him feel bad, but we also don't want someone who can't keep up with our ability and desire to win. How can we convince him to change his sensitivity and give it a try? What methods can we try to make it feel more natural for him?
