It’s no secret that the Phantom is Valorant’s premiere CQC spraydown rifle; unfortunately I’m struggling with approaching fights outside of the gun’s 15m headshot kill range. Burst-strafe-burst still “works,” but feels clunkier than the Vandal due to needing 5 body shots or a headshot + extra hit to kill a 150 HP enemy. Spraying 7-8 bullets into a midrange enemy’s neck and hoping my low recoil sneaks a headshot has worked somewhat well, but also forces me to commit to the kill or die trying. Consequently, when one-tap headshots aren’t an option, how can I make the most out of the Phantom’s strengths? Thanks all.
