Hi, I'm Spin and I coach a Valorant team in Europe. I've done some previous vod review and meta analyses on youtube but those have all been fairly long videos. I thought with the number of games that have been played in the past week I'd do some shorter vod reviews highlighting the most critical rounds.
The first is on the Luminosity vs Andbox game on Haven where Andbox led 11-0 before losing13 straight rounds to Luminosity, this was obviously a great comeback and showed how important momentum can be in Valorant.
Luminosity played a very active style of defence which I think is necessary for success on Haven. Here's a brief summary of the things they did which are covered in the video:
- Luminosity took map control on defence without overly taking risks or playing particularly aggressively.
- Doing so gave them a lot of information and allowed them to read and correctly set up for Andbox's executes.
- Being well set up for each execute meant they could either stall a push from Andbox or retake quickly before Andbox had time to establish strong post plant positions, allowing them to win the critical rounds and keep Andbox's economy broken.
Thanks for reading/watching!
