I have played valorant since beta and I am currently plat 3 and my peak rank is diamond 1.
I have played with a significant time in each rank up to diamond and I feel like for the most part after bronze (silver-diamond) I don’t feel much of a skill difference. I mean for myself or my teammates. I have also played with ascendants and immortals before (or so they claimed) and watch streamers who are higher rank than me, and it all still seems like the same skill range.
Does anyone else feel this? Is your rank actually a good representation of how skilled you are at the game?
One small note, while it’s not non existent, for the most part in the higher Elo games, my teammates have had a much better mentality. I found this has been the biggest factor that got me out of gold and into diamond. Treating every game and scenario as winnable is massive imo.

This may be old news, but I found there is a part near the very edge of Rafters (A side of Split) that sounds like you are walking on grass. It is a thin line that persists the full length!
