I have been PC gaming since late 2018, I reached MG1 in CSGO, never played it super seriously though nor thought I could actually reach anything of the likes of global elite. I have played valorant since beta, but once again never taking it too seriously. All I really did was just queue up a ranked game whenever I wanted to play ranked, and that was that. But after losing so many games, or getting into so many duels and seemingly losing, I just kept having this recurring question pop-up into my head. Exactly how far can you go if you just have really good mechanics (aim/movement)? Some people say radiant, some people say diamond. So after playing this game for a while, I thought maybe it's finally time to test it out. I thought what better way to truly say you have great mechanics, that to put in the work and time of doing 1000 DMs and training your muscle memory, and record the progress? So that's what this post is for.
Routine and plans:
Minimum:
-10 DMs per day
-2 Ranked games per day
-1 hour of Kovaaks/aimlabs per day
Sheriff only for 2 games
Guardian only for 1 games
Vandal only for 2 games
Ranked game
Repeat 1 time
Starting rank: Asc 1 40RR
Primary Agent: Reyna
My overall purpose or aim for this project is to:
- Become as confident as I can be during gunfights
- Be able to single out mechanics as a variable to see how far it can truly take you in valorant
- Have overall better mechanics
I will be treating this reddit post as a log detailing rank progress, deathmatch progress, and overall feeling of improvement from my training on a weekly basis, every sunday night from here until the 1000 deathmatches are completed.
Hopefully I can help not only myself, but others as well on this journey to truly see if this is a "radiant level" training routine or not!
