I'm in diamond-ascendant rn (bouncing in between), and while my game is generally fine, my performance suffers sometimes mainly because I feel like I'm overthinking things.
I often feel like the opponents are thinking a step ahead so I try to think two steps ahead and just overcomplicate things. I'm always really paranoid of a flank and am often trying to clear basically every corner to the point that it kinda hinders with my overall entry into a certain position. Even if I can be basically 99% sure a flank isn't coming, or a player won't be in a certain position, that 1 percent tips me over the edge. I'm confident that if I change this part of my game, I could improve a lot.
Any tips on just playing more relaxed and managing this sort of overthinking? I notice when I play unranked, my level of calm is noticeably higher and it definitely leads to me performing better. Any tips are appreciated!
