For those of you who are new to Valorant or just are trying to learn a new character, here are some ways to use ults:
- Sage: Obviously revive teammates. You can do it either as bait to expose enemies, or to get a higher chance of winning a hard round. If you're doing the latter, make sure they're hidden from sight so they don't get insta-killed, and you can wall off an angle to make sure no one's there
- Jett: Kill people
- Phoenix: You can use it to scout, like if you're pushing a site or want visuals on where the enemy team is for a retake, your team needs someone to distract the enemy team, or you just want more kills
- Brimstone: You can use it on a choke point to force people on or off site, into corners, bad postions, or just for easy picks, or on spike when the enemy team is defusing (to stop them obviously)
- Cypher: Obviously revealing enemy locations for retakes, defusing, defending spike or rushing site, but I haven't figured out other creative ways to use it.
- Kay/O: Really good for faking. Because it gives away your location, you can use it with Yoru's fakeout to make it seem like a whole team is rushing somewhere else than your team actually is. Because it gives you a combat stim, it's really good for rushing site, but if you're not as confident, you should probably only peek corners and hold angles so if you get knocked someone can come and rez you.
- Killjoy: Pretty much the same as brim, but be careful of corners, because most of the time there are some safe corners to hide in
- Omen: You can use it to flank (obviously), distract the enemy team as your team pushes site, get visuals on a site, fake, or pickup spike if you ult onto it (guess what agent I main)
- Raze: Most people will run away when they hear your ult, so you can use it to push site (they probably won't run if they're defending the spike), or if someone or multiple people are stacked in a corner you can use it for easy kills
- Reyna: Get kills. You're completely invisible when you consume a soul orb, so you can use it to surprise enemies and turn Valorant into a horror game
- Skye: For attacking, you can use it to fake a site, scout out where people are while pushing, defensing spike, or retaking, or see where the enemy team is going while defending.
- Sova: There's a glitch where if you jump while shooting his ult he'll levitate in the air so you can use it to dodge raze's ult (joking... kinda), but if you drone or shoot your scanning dart before ulting and find someone, easy picks
- Viper: Securing a site either defending or attacking, easy kills on a choke point (like b main on ascent), or to have a dance party
- Yoru: You can use Yoru's ult to scout out site, flank, distract enemies, and retrieve spike. You're completely invisible in your ult (unless you're very close to a person), so you can buy a shotgun, ult right on to someone, and shoot them in the face while they're still trying to figure out what's going on.
- Astra: Wall off multiple sites, angles, or flanks at once, and you can push the enemies into a bad position which can get easy kills.
- Breach: Rushing site or mid, because they'll all be concussed, which means they wont be able to see correctly, and can only shoot very slow. Other than that idk
And for countering:
- Brim: run away, usually try away from where the enemy team will probably be if possible, and if you're defusing, sorry
- Cypher: If you're flanking there's nothing much you can do, but since if only reveals your position once, you can throw them off your scent by running the other way until the ult's finished, same goes with any other situation, just run somewhere else (also be careful of that if you're playing cypher)
- Jett: Run and jump like you're playing Fortnite and hope she doesn't hit her shots
- Kay/O: You can try running away but since the radius is so big you might not be able to, but you can hide until it goes away, but it really shouldn't affect your gameplay too much, because this game is based off precise gunplay
- Killjoy: Run away or hide in a corner where they hopefully won't find you, maybe get Sage yo wall you off
- Omen: If you hear him, run towards him, because he can't shoot and doesn't have full vision for like 3 seconds, if you shoot him before the ult finished he'll be returned to where he was before, and after you'll kill him. If he ulted onto site, kill him asap then look for teamates, but behind just rush and wait.
- Phoenix: *RUN*
- Raze: *RUN*
- Reyna: Her ult is way to op, she'll be able to see you if you're slightly peeking a corner, so just camp her out
- Sage: Either push and get the easy kill, but Sage could be watching if it's bait, or wait because now you probably know her location
- Skye: SHOOT THE CAULIFLOWERS most people don't do this and it's very annoying cuz then you'll be blinded and it's not a fun time
- Sova: Stay away from the beam.
- Viper: You can distract her by smoking somewhere other than where you're going, or just shooting randomly into it, you'll be low so she'll have the advantage, so play to kill
- Yoru: LISTEN and the communicate with your teammates if you hear him
- Astra: Don't push through the wall unless you need to, and make sure you're protected, and if you're in a bad position when it's about to come down, either move out of that spot or smoke yourself in or something
- Breach: Run and hide
If you have anymore tips or feedback please comment it because I'd like to know :)
Ok thanks and have a nice day!

Japan server is the true example of healthy competitive behaviour
Hello folks,
I am Central European and had the chance to visit Japan for the past month and a half. I got curious about how the Valorant experience would be here so I went to an eSports cafe (more often than I should have) to check out the...
