Hi everyone! Over the last two months I built https://www.handbook.gg/, which enables users to easily:
- create and save ability lineups/setups (example)
- organize and visualize their lineups on Valorant maps: (example)
- share lineups with the community
Why did I do this instead of grinding Ranked (rip Ep. 2 Act I Plat dreams):
I played Sova a lot this past year and really didn't like how inconveninent it was to keep track of all the arrow lineups that I personally use. The websites that exist had great content but no customizability, and either didn't have a good way of organizing the lineups or didn't have a good way of showing the lineup details. Also, there are so many cool lineups being posted to Reddit and YouTube that I just end up forgetting because I don't have the time to go into custom games to memorize them so I wanted to create a system that solves these issues.
How it works:
To start building your collection of lineups, you will need to either create your own lineups or import lineups that other people have exported (such as the ones below that I have exported).
To create your own lineup, click the Add button after selecting the map, agent, and ability. Then, simply plot a trajectory with up to 2 bounces on the map and add the images and descriptions that will help you remember the lineup.
Lineup end points will appear on the map after you have selected the map, agent, and ability and hovering your mouse over them will show you the lineup trajectories available. Clicking the lineup end points will allow you to select the specific lineup that you want to see details for. Clicking a lineup trajectory will bring up its lineup details.
There are many ways you can import and export lineups to share with others:
- For exporting, click the Export button and you can either copy the lineup text and paste it to websites like Pastebin or download the .json file to your device.
- For importing, click the Import button and you can either directly copy and paste the lineup text, copy and paste the Pastebin paste key, or upload the .json file from your device.
Here are some paste keys for lineups that I have created and exported to Pastebin using Handbook that you can import and begin using immediately (can't post Pastebin links as they are auto removed by the subreddit):
- Bind:
- WDBpzY02: Sova (Recon bolts, post plant Shock bolts) based on this video by AverageJonas and arrows I personally use
- p6z2PYEX: Brimstone (post plant Incendiaries)
- Ascent:
- nRH24Er8: Cypher (One way Cyber Cages) based on this video by SpicyCurry
- Split:
- muHbY9k3: Viper (Toxic screens, Poison clouds, post plant Snake bites) based on this video by Unidaro
Lineups are saved and cached for future visits as you add, delete, and import them, but will be erased if your cookies are cleared so make sure to back up your lineups often by exporting them.
All of the above information and video examples can also be found in the How To section of the website.
It is my hope that this website saves you guys a lot of time and effort and I will be doing my best to keep it updated with the latest maps, agents, and abilities and fix any issues that arise. However, this is a project that I'm doing in my spare time and it is a one-man show so please understand if things take a bit longer than expected.
It would mean the world to me if you guys checked it out and I hope to see some paste keys alongside future lineup posts and videos!
tldr: I wanted to be lazy and not memorize lineups and proceeded to spend 2 months building a website
