I feel like nobody knows how to teach game sense for this game.

I don't understand why people struggle to teach this game properly (I'm not talking about mechanics btw, just purely game sense). I understand that "there's so much depth to this game" and a lot of things are situational, but there are patterns to anything you learn that originate from a common "base idea." For example how woohoojin explains how to approach planning based off the team comp. THAT is a base idea that expands to maaaany other smaller ideas like what he mentioned in the video.

Think of "base idea" as "Here's a potato" and the smaller ideas are "here are all the different things we can make with a potato: fries, wafers, chips, mashed potatoes, etc etc."

"Look at the enemy's economy before each round" is another "base idea" that expands into many other. What other "base ideas" does this game have? Do you guys have any good resources for someone trying to learn game sense at a basic level?

Edit: for those who are saying that the only way to learn game sense is to play the game, I totally agree with you! Although there's a difference between blindly playing the game and playing the game while knowing base ideas you can always tie your mistakes back to. That's the difference between spending 1000 hours and 500 hours to get to the same level. It's subjective whether you think it's better or worse to approach it this way, but an organized mind will always outperform a disorganized one, and I'm just trying to find a way to organize mine when it comes down to this game.
