I'm sure this is not a revelation to some, or even most of you, but it is to me and figured I'd bring it up here.

So we all know (probably) what a smurf is. Someone who makes a second (third, fourth, fifth) account and purposefully making it low rank so they can stomp on everyone.

But this thing I just heard of is even worse than that: derankers. THESE lovely individuals only have one account and they'll get to a decently high rank for the charms/accolades and then do everything in their power to derank down to iron/bronze and play there. The reason I say this is worse is not only are they doing the work of a smurf (playing way below their skill level) they ruin people's games on their way down to that low elo. At least smurfs start off at that low elo by playing like bots, these people throw other people's games on purpose as they derank through dozens of ranks.
