It's hard to contain how happy I am, I've been grinding in Valorant since Beta. It's been a lot of ups and downs and a lot of frustrating games. There's been times where I've temporarily quit the game, But this season I managed to achieve Immortal for the first time and I'm thriving. It's been mostly solo-queue for me, with a few occasional games with a friend or two.
I think I'm writing this because I realised that I still have a lot of room for improvement where I thought I was maxed out. But I've learned some valuable lessons playing the last few seasons, And I want to know what other lessons people have learned playing Competitve games like Valorant.
I've learned:
It's okay not to be the best on the team, as long as I am trying each game is a learning experience.
When you are having a bad game, keeping up communication and being friendly can help keep the team working together and make it more exciting.
I shouldn't be upset at someone else for playing bad, because I've been there; we all have bad games.
Lastly, the thing that took my a while to learn was any game is winnable. No matter how bad the score looks, as long as you and your team stay in a game without mentally checking out you can turn anything around as long as you work together and communicate. A rough start doesn't mean anything, and when you do have those comback victories everything is so much more satisfying.
Thanks to everyone I've played with, It's been fun looking to playing many more and trying to keep climbing that ladder. Who knows where I'll end up. Thank you for reading this!
