As someone that is learning 3D modeling and a bit of level design. GOD DAMN! The art team does a good job at making flat objects look 3D. Go look at any object. Any corner. 90% of the stuff on the level is a cube/ cylinder/ or some very basic shape that is actually quite low poly. Arches and rocks are probably some of the more complicated geometry in the game.
You always wondered how this game plays on a damn toaster. Its because characters/guns/knives are the most complicated peace of geometry on every map. Which Riot has a history of making low as fuck poly models look high poly. Check League of Legends. THEY FUCKING Mastered high poly to low poly art. CLEAN!
Leaves flat as a board but bent to make it look less flat. Corners with enough detail to make them look round up until you get on the edge of them. Then boom that is pointy as hell! Objects sitting around just fucking squares with proper texturing to not look like a god damn square. flowers same shit as the leaves. A cylinder with some planes slapped on it pretty much with a texture. Got some sweet triangles. more squares.
Literally arches seem to be the most complicated thing on majority of the maps. Some maps have some pretty neat geometry and I would actually love to see some level development videos. Hell if someone could send me a few files.. that be cool too. Actually never mind i will just figure it out! So, I can look at all this sweet simple geometry. Shows more is not always better
