Not really understanding MMR - why did I get matched against far lower ranks?
Very confused about what's going on here from a MMR standpoint and was hoping somebody with better understanding of the system can explain.

POV: You waste 40min of your life for 0CR + 3 Instalock Duelist
So, i get 3 instalock duelist, then a 4th duelist, i decide to go harbor/smokes to try and save this, (lotus map), we end in a tie, i get 0 CR for wasting 40min of my life, how do i not even get 1 CR??????
P.s i got 5th place among all 1...

Does rr gain/loss change how its given based on the person’s rank?
I feel like ever since I hit Ascendant my RR gains are little less than my losses, even though I’m somewhat climbing
(16-19 rr for a win, 19-23 rr for a loss)
