So I'm new to valorant, just recently I've been getting into ranked games. Last night I get into my second game of the night, and right from the first buy round. I knew. This was going to be.. one of "those" games. As one of my teammates on coms asks if we love Mariah Carey about 15 times. What followed was a short intro to "All I want for Christmas" followed by the highest pitch screaming I have ever had go through my headset.
What followed was so confusing. Two other players were either playing along, or making really racist jokes. I began to think I was in with a group of trolls, and I'm just going to have to roll with it till the game was over. But as soon as the first round began, coms pretty much went to a normal lobby, and we played about 3 rounds.
The fourth round is when things got weird. Some of the enemy and some of my teammates (not the ones being racist asshats or the Mariah Cary fan) began to crouchwalk conga line through the map in a team alternated line. This would continue until time went out, when they all pulled pistols and and FFA'd.
That continued for about 10 rounds until someone said on comms "OK real games now." Then for the last few rounds of the game coms become normal, and we end up winning by 1 round.
Was I just roped into a win trade game or something? Do people play like that in iron/bronze rank for shiggles and giggles? All I know is I was high out of my mind, and it was a surreal experience. I enjoyed every minute of it, it felt like the weirdest roller coaster of emotions as I knew it was the last game of the night. Actually this game was one past the point I knew I should have gone to sleep, and I was so heartbroken at the beginning, but decided to stick it out because I knew I couldn't just play another after. Anyway, if those players peruse reddit. Remember this, if you say your going to invade a country, you just admitted to it's existence, later you racist assholes, thanks for the surprisingly fun game.
