Went straight from bronze 1 to bronze 3 with 28 kills match MVP after the new patch came out. Had a leaver in that game so not sure if that was taken into account or not. But a 2 rank jump is huge for an old account like mine with a stable MMR...

Before this patch, it took me 10 wins to get out of iron 3 and 9 to get out of bronze 1 initially, where I was getting 20+ kills consistently with sometimes meh performances. So it's kinda crazy for me that 1 good game made me jump 2 ranks while similar performances like this before still only gave me 3 arrows on a win or -2 arrows on a loss. The match wasn't a total stomp either and the game's median rank was below me, so I really think this was because of the new system.

As a guy with a ''smurf'' in -silver-gold (my main is was in iron-silver), this is incredible because I feel like getting out of a rank I don't deserve to be in doesn't require as much grind as before! Sure, I was good enough and I could see myself steadily getting out of bronze, but the leavers, afks and smurfs were making it harder than it should have been. Not to mention that it ain't fair for a silver-gold player to have to destroy so many iron and bronze players to rank up. Honestly, this is really gonna help low elo become better as players that deserve a slightly higher rank will see wider swings in MMR and hopefully smurfs will rank up faster when they completely clap the enemy team.

Although I didn't collect much data on this change, there's clearly something that changed because, as I said, it took me plenty of games to get out of one rank then 1 game where I play averagely, I jump up 2 ranks. That shit is some never seen for an old ass account. 2 rank jumps only used to happen to new accounts (smurfs) or in act 1. Potentially huge change and I want to know if anyone can share their experiences with new ranked.
