I went from silver 2 to plat 2 in 2 weeks. I have a 70% win rate

This is what I learned that helped me rank up:

•Aim: having super good aim is not everything. I learned that you also have good movement. Try doing small strafe movements while bursting. It makes it so that the enemies have a harder time to hit you

•”I match mvp every game”: I always see this comment on this subreddit and I find it funny. Winning isn’t always about kills. It’s about setting your team to win the round.

•Vandal: I haven’t seen many people say this, but stick to the vandal. It will force you to hit 1 taps and improve your aim. I used the vandal every game and my head shot percentage went from 14% to 20% (average)

•Be able to ADAPT: This is the most important thing I have learned ranking up. You must be able to adapt to your team chemistry aswell as the enemy team. If the enemy team keeps killing you a certain way, you need to think logically on how you can adapt and beat them. You also need to understand that if you solo queue, your team mates will all play differently. You need to know how they play and figure out what works best

•GET TRADE KILLS: I get mad when people don’t even try to trade. This happens a lot in silver-gold. Yes I understand I died and it was “my fault”, but valorant is a 5v5, getting the trade will even the playing field. Of course there are instances where you shouldn’t trade. For the most part, TRY to trade.

•watch pro teams/streamers: I simply watched a couple vct games and learned how to hold angles and how to peek. I also kept watching YAY and learned his movements, copy your favorite streamer. Lol it works over time.

lastly focus on the win and not your kills. People will say “I’m better than you, I got more kills than you”. That doesn’t matter. A win is a win.

Here are my stats on trackernetwork:

Edit: I’ve been playing since act 1. Started in iron 1. Current rank is plat 2

Edit 2: vandal tip is for low elo players. I often see the typical bronze player holding a spray on every gun fight. The insta crouch spray that happens in low elo is a bad habit. spraying is situational because there is rng and because you become a stationary object (easier to hit)
